Keeping Your Dreams Alive

Amidst Life's Challenges

In the words of popular musician, John Mayer, in his song,"Gravity," he belts out, amongst other lines, "just keep me where the light is."  I've heard this song many times, however, was recently struck with the magnitude of that line while attending his concert recently.   So, I went to Google and searched for the lyrics you see below.  After reading through the whole lyrics, I am again struck by their magnitude and how wanting more and having more "stuff" is not necessarily the road to happiness.   Further, if you have lived life on Earth, it is certain that at one time or another, you've been hit by challenges. Some of those challenges may have brought you to your knees.   So, when that happens, what do you do for yourself? Where do you gather your strength?   The questions are simple, the execution of them may be challenging.

Where do you find light in your life? and what is your plan for keeping yourself in that light?

Here's to keeping yourself the hell away from the gravity of life and finding and sustaining the light that gives you strength to carry on!

"Gravity"

Gravity is working against me
And gravity wants to bring me down

Oh I'll never know what makes this man
With all the love that his heart can stand
Dream of ways to throw it all away

Oh Gravity is working against me
And gravity wants to bring me down

Oh twice as much ain't twice as good
And can't sustain like a one half could
It's wanting more
That's gonna send me to my knees
[repeat]

Oh gravity, stay the hell away from me
And gravity has taken better men than me (now how can that be?)

Just keep me where the light is
Just keep me where the light is
Just keep me where the light is
C'mon keep me where the light is
C'mon keep me where the light is
Oh... where the light is! [repeat]
